錯。這是一對意義相關的詞，但是有區別的。e。g。1）comparison的句子：Her crimson dress was like the red of brilliant sunset。2)contrast 的句子：Dad found the trip enthralling, even though Uncle Tom thought it was boring。So,when comparison is used, a word is compared with another word or phrase that you already know。And when contrast is used, a word is contrasted with another word or phrase opposite that which is familiar to you。Try to anlayse the 2 sentences above ,and you can get a general idea of the two different words。

I think it's the way it is. Normally we say "compare and contrast" means we are gping to see the similiarities and differences between two or more things. We can also say, "in comparsion" or "in contrast" at that siuation.
