這兩個詞都作連詞，引導讓步狀從。“雖然。。。。。。但是”不能與but連用，但可以用yet或still。 although 較正式，多用于句首。though多用于非正式場合。eg。Although(Though) he is in pool health,(yet) he works hard。 =He is in poor health,but he works hard。但以下場合不用although。1。 表示強調時要用even though;eg。 Even though he feels tired,he is still working on。2。 though 可用于倒裝句中。 eg。 Young though he is, he is quiote experienced。3。though 可作副詞，表示“然而”，放在句末或其它位置。 eg。 he said he won't come;he didn't,though。。

though較為普通；although較為正式．although常用在位于主句之前的狀語從句中，而且although總是放在句首，though可以放在倒裝句中．如：雖然他很努力，但他考試沒有及格．Although he worked hard,he failed in the exam.他雖然年輕，但很有經驗．Young though he is ,he is quite experienced.
