不定代詞是指不指明代替任何特定名詞或形容詞的代詞。分為三類：1）普通不定代詞：some, any, no; somebody, anybody, nobody; someone, anyone, no one; something, anything, nothing, nothing; one, none2）個(gè)體不定代詞：all, every, each, other, another, either, neither, both; everybody, everyone, everything3）數(shù)量不定代詞：many, much, few, a few, little, a lot of, lots of, a great deal, a great many在這些不定代詞中，多數(shù)都能作主語、賓語、表語或定語，但代詞none和含有some, any, no, every的合成代詞，只能作主語、賓語和表語，every和no只能作定語。
